Chat

Chat is for anything that is not a direct simulator command. Use it when you want a short explanation, a checklist-style reminder, or a question answered while staying in the simulator.

Good Uses

  • Ask about simulator procedures or aircraft systems.
  • Ask for help interpreting a situation during a flight.
  • Ask follow-up questions after the assistant answers.
  • Ask what commands or status queries are available for the aircraft page you are reading.

How It Differs From Commands

Commands change simulator state: "landing lights on", "flaps down", or "pause the sim". Chat answers a question or gives guidance. If a phrase maps to a supported command, the command router handles it; otherwise the assistant treats it as conversation.

Grounding

When grounded knowledge is available, the assistant uses staged simulator and aircraft source material instead of guessing from general memory. The public docs only claim the sources and aircraft pages represented in the support indexes.

Current Limits

Chat is not a substitute for pilot judgment, official aircraft manuals, air traffic control, or instructor guidance.
